Uganda is located in East Africa neighboring countries like Rwanda, DRC, Tanzania and South Sudan. The country is rich and renowned to be home to many wonders. Uganda is among the top destinations for primates, wildlife, birding, culture and many more. These makes Uganda to be the preferred destination.

Attractions which make Uganda unique
Primates. The country is home to many primates and the major ones are mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. Mountain Gorillas can be tracked in Bwindi National Park and Mgahinga well as chimpanzees can be tracked in kibale national park, Budongo forest, kalinzu, Bugoma forest, Kyambura gorge Ngamba Island and others. Gorillas and chimpanzee are among the major attractions in Uganda drawing many visitors to the country. They are close relatives to humans and intelligent animals. Spending some time with these apes is life time experience.
Wildlife. Uganda is rich in wildlife including the big five. They are many in different protected areas like Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls, lake Mburo, Kidepo valley National Park and others. Animals can be seen in game drives conducted in different parks. Some animals stay in groups for security and they have different behaviors. Game drives can be conducted very early in the morning to see the early raisers, in the evening or at night in some protected areas. In each wildlife parks, there are trails to follow in the game drive for different views.
Birds. Birding in Uganda is among the major activities here due to many species of birds found in different places. Some are migratory and others are not. Guides associated with birds are available in Uganda and can very well help in identifying different species of birds.
In Uganda, birds can be found in National parks, along the banks of water bodies, on mountains, forest, swamps and many other places.
Mountains. Uganda is gifted with different mountains which are unique. Some of them include, mount Rwenzori, mount Elgon, volcanoes like Muhabura, Sabyinyo and Mgahinga. These mountains attract activities like hiking to explore the attractions on the mountains. Visitors can decide which mountain to hike and the number of days.

Protected areas/ National parks in Uganda.
Bwindi National Park. This is known to be home to mountain Gorillas and that’s where gorilla tracking is conducted.
Mgahinga National Park. This is also a home to mountain gorillas located in western Uganda Kisoro near the border of Uganda and Rwanda.
Kibale national park. This is a home to chimpanzees. It is one of the best places to view chimpanzees in East Africa.
