1.Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
This is known to be home to the rare primate called mountain Gorillas. To prove that it’s rare and endangered, it can only be seen in 3 countries Uganda, DRC and Rwanda and they are few in number. Bwindi is one of the powerful destinations with quit a good number of these primates. Since mountain Gorillas it is proved that it is like human beings by 98% this attracts many visitors to come and witness the gentle ape.
Bwindi is a great forest with many to offer, besides the great adventure mountain gorilla tracking, there are other attractions in the park which includes, birds, other primates like monkeys, different natural trees and plants including medicinal ones. Activities like birding and Nature walks are conducted in the park to unleash other attractions.
Besides the above, Bwindi has local people around, mostly they are the Bakiga and the Batwa. The Batwa originally lived in Bwindi entirely. But they were evicted when it was Turned into a national park. Of course, there are challenges with shifting from your usual home to another, facing different waves of life. The Batwa used to be hunters and gatherers. But outside the forest they had to engage in other activities to earn a living. Spending some time with these local people is so rewarding and supports them directly. They will tell stories, sing and dance meaningful phrases of songs.
2.Mgahinga National Park.
This is another Gorilla Park in Uganda, located in western Uganda on the border of Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. This park has one habituated gorilla family called Nyakagezi. Visitors also do Gorilla tracking from here. This park favors those who come from Rwanda, those prefer combine Uganda and Rwanda safaris and those who prefer to do Double gorilla tracking both in Volcano National Park of Rwanda and mgahinga of Uganda.
There are other attractions in this park besides gorilla. The park is made up of 3 volcanoes like Sabyinyo, Muhabura and Mgahinga. Visitors who are adventurous do hike the above volcanoes to the top and enjoy many wonders as they do the hiking. For Gahinga Volcano that’s where the park Derived it’s named.
Another exciting attraction in this park are Golden monkeys. They are also rare and endangered mostly found in virungas. They are very attractive and golden in color; visitors follow them as they enjoy their way of life.

3 Kibale National Park.
This is another great primate park in Uganda. When you mention about chimpanzees in Uganda, kibale comes first. The park has diversity of attractions including 13 species of primates in total. Chimpanzee Tracking is the main activity here. Just like the Mountain gorillas, chimpanzee are also close relatives of humans.
Other attractions and activities in this park include, Nature walks, birding, cultural encounters around the park and many more. Kibale is among the most visited parks in Uganda and it is strategically located. - Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This is another heart of Uganda when it comes to wildlife. The park is strategically located in the western Uganda where by many wild life including the big five are present here. Many attractions in this park can be seen through game drive and boat cruises on kazinga channel. The channel summaries it all, animals which may be missed in the game drive can be seen here along the water banks coming to quench their thirsty.
Queen Elizabeth is also famous with the tree climbing lions which are seen by conducting game drive in Ishasha. It is rare for lions to climb trees but this wonder can be witnessed here. Visitors also extend their games drive to Ishasha to see these magical creatures.

5.Murchison falls National Park.
This is the biggest wild life park in Uganda. It is a home to wild life including the big five, the park is named after the Murchison falls on River Nile which makes its way through the park to lake Albert. One of the main activities in this park is the game drive which will show many wild animals in their natural environment. Some of the animals in Murchison falls include, giraffe, buffaloes, lions, elephants, and many more.
Other attractions and activities in Murchison include boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, visiting the top of the falls, birding, spot fishing, boat cruise to the delta and many more.
