7 DAYS UGANDA WILDERNESS AND GORILLA SAFARI

This is a 7 day adventure that enables the visitors t enjoy maximum adventure of the great Uganda
forests. The safari starts and ends in Kampala Uganda. It includes a gorilla permit worth $ 700 per person
per day. You are to visit different destinations including; Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi
impenetrable national park, and Kibale national park.

Leave Kampala after having breakfast for your drive through the swamps and the forests of the Nile delta
to Kibale national Park. Have lunch at Igongo cultural centre and then proceed to the park. Upon your
arrival, proceed for a guided walk in the carter lakes area of the park for a cultural visit. Return to the
lodge for dinner and an overnight at Kyaninga safari lodge/ Primate lodge / Chimpanzee forest Guest
House. Meal plan: Full board

Have breakfast and then head to the park head quarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of
chimpanzee trekking. You are followed by the rangers who will help you in locating the chimps. Once you
meet them, you are given 1 hour to interact with these endangered species to interact and take photos.
After return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a visit to Bigodi wetland swamp to do some birding
as well as view many other primate species including; the blue turaco, Goliath Herons, Malachite
Kingfisher, pygmy Geese, spur winged, papyrus canary, brown throated weaver and carruther’s Cisticola.

After, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Kyaninga safari Lodge (luxury)/ Primate Lodge
(moderate)/ Kibale Forest Camp (budget). Meal plan: Full board

Have breakfast and then proceed with your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for the big
five animals as well as a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Upon your arrival, check in at the lodge and
proceed for an evening game drive where you see many animal species including; lions, elephants,
buffaloes, Rhinos, kobs, antelopes and many bird species. After, return to the lodge for dinner and
overnight at Mweya safari lodge (luxury)/ Kyambura game lodge (moderate)/ Bush Lodge (budget). Meal
plan: Full board

Have breakfast at the lodge and then proceed for an early morning game drive where you are to see lots
of game including elephants, kobs, giant forest hogs, lions, buffaloes and many more. Return to the lodge
for your lunch and then have a boat cruise on kazinga channel in the afternoon to see many water
animals including; the crocodiles, buffaloes, water birds and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya
safari lodge (luxury)/ Kyambura game lodge (moderate)/ Bush Lodge (budget). Meal plan: Full board

Have breakfast and drive through east Africa’s most spectacular scenery, the highland rain forests that
reach to the volcanoes in which the mountain gorillas live. Have a visit to the bat cave to Maramagambo
forest and also view the Kyambura gorge as well. Make a game drive through the ishasha sector with a
chance of seeing some tree climbing lions and many other animal species. Later, drive to Bwindi via the
fantastic scenery of the tea plantations. Upon your arrival, check in at the lodge and have dinner and
overnight at Buhoma lodge/ Silverback lodge/ Buhoma community rest camp. Meal plan: Full board

Start your day with heavy breakfast and by 8:00am proceed for briefing at UWA head quarters. Make
sure you carry along with you a rain jacket, snacks, drinking water, and jungle boots. The guides will lead
you inside the forest to see these primates for a group you have been booked for. Carry your lunch box
and all the necessary gears to track the rare mountain gorilla which is the most exciting wildlife
experiences on earth. Tracking these wonderful species takes between 2 and 6 hours but it worth the
effort. You are given 1 hour for interaction and taking photos.
In the afternoon, you visit the nearby villages and give you an opportunity of seeing how people
surrounding Bwindi Forest live. It’s a great way of support to the local community in a direct way. The
walk starts with your guide who is so informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how
local people live and there way of life. After, you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Return to Kampala with an enroute lunch and a stopover at Igongo cultural centre to explore the life style
of the Ankole and Bahima people. After, proceed at the equator before arriving Kampala city in the
evening. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch. Eand of services.
