Hike mount Nyiragongo volcano and trek both Congo Mountain and lowland gorillas. The tour starts and ends in Kigali Rwanda or Uganda, spend 1 night on the rim of the great crater high above the violently active lava lake.

Hike Nyiragongo and also track lowland gorillas. Nyiragongo Volcano is located in the east of Congo DRC, at around 19km from Goma town and is the most active volcano in the world.

On the first day of your 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, our company driver will pick you from Kigali
international airport and take you for city tour where you will visit some important places in Kigali like the
genocide memorial where thousands of people were killed, Nyamata church and local markets. Learn
about Rwanda history, present and interact with indigenous people, sample Rwandan nightlife and retire
to bed before midnight.

Have breakfast and then the guide transfers you to the park station in Virunga National Park. Have a
briefing about gorilla trekking by the park rangers, after proceed with gorilla trekking where you will meet
with meet with the mountain gorillas and be given 1 hour to interact with them. After, transfer back to the
hotel for late lunch and dinner.

On the third day of your 7 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, start your day with morning breakfast and proceed
to kibatsi village where you will start your hike. The guide will lead the hikers and the hike takes 4-6 hours
depending on the speed you have while climbing. You will pass by the steep slopes, thick vegetation and
tall trees. On arrival to the top of the volcano relax and enjoy the cool breath of the top of the mountain;
view the lava lake and its red fires flames. Dinner and overnight will be enjoyed at the top of the volcano
in the camp tent.

Breakfast and then start to descend by 7 or 8 am, Arrive at the trail head before lunch and transfer back
to your hotel for relaxing. Overnight at Goma

Have breakfast and then transfer to the shores of Lake Kivu. Take a speed boat to the southerly town of
Bukavu, upon your arrival, meet the driver guide then transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Bukavu

Have breakfast and then head for a briefing about the dos and donts of gorilla trekking at the head
quarters. You start the hike into the forest as you search for the gorillas after which you descend
back to the lodge.

Very early in the morning, you will wake up to have a coffee and then proceed to Congo/ Rwanda
boarder. Proceed to Kigali, for relaxation or catch your flight back home.
