This safari starts and ends in Kigali.. You will hike Nyiragongo which is the most active volcano in the world situated in DRC. You will trek mountain gorillas from Virunga national park in Congo.

On the first day of your 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, our company driver will pick you from Kigali international airport and take you for city tour where you will visit some important places in Kigali like the genocide memorial where thousands of people were killed, Nyamata church and local markets.

Learn about Rwanda history, present and interact with indigenous people, sample Rwandan nightlife and retire
to bed before midnight.

On the second day of 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, start your day with morning breakfast and travel northwest into the virunga volcano region. This travel is full of exciting discoveries of Rwanda countryside with beautiful highland sceneries and indigenous people lifestyle. you will have lunch in Gisenyi lake side town and after lunch have boat cruise on lake Kivu is fun and adventurous around various islands in the lake and also visit the local fishing villages. explore how coffee is processed locally from crops to cup and you taste it. Dinner and overnight will be enjoyed and Kivu Serena hotel

On the third day of your 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, start your day with morning breakfast and proceed to kibatsi village where you will start your hike.

The guide will lead the hikers and the hike takes 4-6 hours depending on the speed you have while climbing.

You will pass by the steep slopes, thick vegetation and tall trees. On arrival to the top of the volcano relax and enjoy the cool breath of the top of the mountain; view the lava lake and its red fires flames. Dinner and overnight will be enjoyed at the top of the volcano in the camp tent.

On the fourth day of your 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, have memorable breakfast from the top of the volcano with last view of beautiful scenic sanctuary and after breakfast descends to the bottom where you will find the driver waiting to transfer you to Virunga national park for your next activity. Dinner and overnight at Virunga lodge

On the fifth day of your 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, start your day with hot morning breakfast before leaving for gorilla trekking. You should carry packed lunch, enough drinking water and trekking equipment.

Report to the starting point for briefing on the don’ts and dos of gorilla trekking. The rangers will lead the group into the jungle passing on thick forest, steep slopes and tall trees in search of mountain gorillas. After finding the gorilla family you will be given one hour to spend with the gorillas taking photos and learning gorilla’s behaviors. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

On the last day of your 6 Days Congo Gorilla Safari, take breakfast and start you journey back to Kigali town.

You will cross Goma border to Kigali and the driver shall transfer you to Kigali international airport to catch-up with your flight back home.
