3 DAYS GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI IN UGANDA
Tour overview
This safari starts and ends in Kampala city. It includes a gorilla permit worth $ 700 per person per day. These endangered species are found in Bwindi impenetrable National park and in Mgahinga National Park.
These rain forests have got half of these species and the rest are found in Volcanoes national park and Virunga National Park. Apart from the many gorilla species found here, you can as well spot African Elephants, monkeys, snakes, birds and many more. There are many activities that can be enjoyed in the park including Nature walks, bird watching and many more.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park
Upon your arrival, your guide welcomes you and drives you to Bwindi impenetrable National Park famous for mountain gorillas. This national park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the rift valley and its
covered with hill sides and is one of the oldest and most biologically diverse rain forests.
The park protects an estimated 500 mountain gorillas, 350 species of birds, 120 mammals including primate species like the chimpanzees and baboons, elephants, and the antelopes. Have a stopover at the equator for some photos and experiments. Have lunch at Igongo cultural centre before proceeding to the park for an overnight and dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & community walk
Start your day with heavy breakfast and by 8:00am proceed for briefing at UWA head quarters. Make sure you carry along with you a rain jacket, snacks, drinking water, and jungle boots.
The guides will lead you inside the forest to see these primates for a group you have been booked for. Carry your lunch box and all the necessary gears to track the rare mountain gorilla which is the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
Tracking these wonderful species takes between 2 and 6 hours but it worth the effort. You are given 1 hour for interaction and taking photos.
In the afternoon, you visit the nearby villages and give you an opportunity of seeing how people surrounding Bwindi Forest live. It’s a great way of support to the local community in a direct way.
The walk starts with your guide who is so informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how local people live and there way of life. After, you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure back to Kampala
Have breakfast at the lodge and then check out of the lodge to proceed with your drive back to Kampala.
Have lunch at Igongo cultural centre and visit the museum to venture the culture of Banyankole people and their way of life. After proceed with your drive and arrive in Kampala late evening.
Your guide will either drop you at the airport to catch your flight back home or he or she will drop you at your hotel for an overnight stay.
